As someone with Very Strong Feelings about the proper toast color, this is a game-changer. On Dash's browning levels chart, anything less than a 4 just isn't toast!!

This bb also has defrost, reheat, and bagel settings, plus an extra-wide slot for bagels and ~specialty breads~. AND the crumb tray and window both slide out for easy cleanup (and no burnt smell every time you toast). Reviewers note that it ejects your toast with some *vigor* (which most people like! especially if you're annoyed when toast doesn't pop enough and you need to fish it out).

Promising review: "Makes toast that is evenly toasted and to your exact specifications. Big enough to handle bagels and large bread slices. Uses crystal heating rods and not a bunch of little wires on cardboard or other flimsy medium like most toasters. This leads to even toasting from edge to edge without untoasted lines and patches. These also allow for finer control of heating level, so your toast his consistently toasted to the level you like. The window allows for you to see it toast, functionally allowing you to see if you want it pop it out early and providing a nice toasty ambiance to your kitchen. Glass and crumb tray are easily removed for cleaning." —Grandmultipara

Promising review: "I first ran across the Chopula at a little kitchen store in North Carolina. I was so impressed with all the ways it can be used, I came back to Amazon and ordered another for myself and one each for my kids. I really do love how easy it is to get underneath fried eggs to flip them with this gadget. I had other spatulas but they always seemed too think or they were metal and couldn't use them on my nonstick pans. I find myself using it instead of a wooden spoon for a lot of things I stir on the stovetop. You can chop pounds of groundbeef with the side of it too. Nice product for sure!" —Lois Thurston

Get it from Amazon for $9.95 (available in nine colors).

Promising review: "This brings omelets to my weekday breakfast. I've been trying to eat a low-carb diet, and the idea of eggs for breakfast appeals to me. But, I am *so* NOT a morning person; and getting up early to stir a low-n-slow scramble just does not work for me. I've tried microwaving eggs in custard cups but they always turned out either soupy and underdone or firm but dry and rubbery. But this makes them Just Right, every time, in two minutes flat. That's less time than it takes me to brew my coffee. Two or three eggs, some herbs, a few chopped veggies, and perhaps a sprinkle of cheese makes for a quick, easy, and tasty breakfast." —Vanilla Chameleon

The vents regulate the flow of oxygen and carbon dioxide and keeps moisture away so your strawberries taste freshly-picked days and days and days later. I have a couple of these, and the first time I tried them, a bunch of basil and strawberries stayed fresh for SO LONG!!

Promising review: "I always have the best intentions when I buy fruits & veggies, but then they go bad so quickly. I have been using these for quite some time for strawberries and blueberries. I decided to buy more for broccoli, peppers, lettuce, baby carrots, etc. The 8-piece set (4 containers with lids) seemed to be the best value for the sizes that I wanted. Now, they do take up a lot of space in the fridge. I can only fit the smaller ones in my crisper bins. But if they help me save money on produce then it's worth figuring out how to fit them in. So far my veggies seem to be hanging in there quite well several weeks after purchase. The green leaf lettuce is especially nice, it would have been slimy by now if it were just in a plastic bag and it looks just as fresh as when I bought it. These really do seem to work and are a good investment." —Jules

Get a set of four containers from Amazon for $36.97 (available in five set sizes, and sold individually here).

And they're microwave-, freezer-, and dishwasher-safe, too. These are my very favorite containers — I just got the 22-piece set to fully stock my kitchen!

Promising review: "These plastic storage containers are robust and well constructed. They can even be shaken vigorously with soup in them without risking a leak. For convenience, they are completely microwave and dishwasher safe and have held up to 50+ cycles by this point. The seal is significant in that it acts as a vapor barrier (you don't smell what's inside until you open it). Huge plus. Additionally, you can unlatch the handles while keeping the lid sealed on, exposing vent holes. This allows you to microwave the contents without having to cover the top or worry about splashing – ingenious design! They're also gorgeous looking (and this aesthetic holds up, they don't stain) to boot and stack well." —Nicholas

Promising review: "Do you have a stinky garbage disposal? If so, get some of these. They are cheap, smell nice. and the foaming action really provides you with a visual they are cleaning the drain. After using these the garbage disposal seems smoother (fewer strange noises, like it's been lubricated). I'd recommend these over Plinks any day as I feel the Plinks only hide smells whereas these foaming packets actually clean the disposal."—Sugacookie

They're *also* great for air drying bags you've washed out to reuse.

Promising review: "I used three of these to help me make freezer meals for after I have a baby. I can honestly say I don't know how I would have filled the freezer bags without these ingenious baggy holders. I was able to dump veggies, spices, meat, and cans of heavy beans and tomatoes into the bags, and they stood up the entire time without sliding or spilling. One of the bags I stuffed literally to the brim, as full as it could go, and the bag did not fall down. I would definitely recommend these." —Grace S.

Get a pack of two from Amazon for $11.99+ (available in packs of two, four, six, and 12).

They *guarantee* that each scrubber sponge will stay odor-free for at least three months.

Promising review: "My girlfriend has a keen nose for mildew, which meant we were throwing out kitchen sponges well before they were worn out. I came across these and was very happy with the first ones we tried. Absolutely no odor, even after several weeks worth of usage. The scrubber will break down long before it starts to smell. A definite winner in my book!" —Amazon Customer

Promising review: "I’ve been searching for a dish sponge alternative for a long time. I bought one of these to try it out. I loved it so much I bought three more!! Excellent quality, flexible, soft but scrubs well with the mesh, keeps a good lather... all in all even better than a regular dish sponge! I’m thrilled! No more plastic trash dish sponges for me!! Promising review: "For years we have been just using large metal spoons or the sides of our metal sink to remove various odors from our hands (i.e. after chopping garlic or onions). Finally, I said to myself, 'Self, we need to move into the 21st century and get a metal bar'....and Ta-Daaaaah! I am really glad that we bought this because it looks really nice and it works so much better than a spoon or sink. For anyone that doesn't believe that this type of thing works, go ahead and chop 10 cloves of garlic and then rub your hands on this bar under cold running water. The results will speak for themselves. I would highly recommend this to anyone." —Sergio DaSilveira

Get it from Amazon for $9.59 (also available in a mini size and in the shape of a fish).

It folds down flat to just an inch and a half.

Promising review: "Wow this thing really works. I recently bought a Zojirushi bread machine that makes giant mutant loaves. The bread pal easily accommodates the massive bread, both width of 5+ inches and height of 7 inches. Cuts even slices, cleans easily and folds flat for storage. Looks nice enough to leave out though. I got a very long knife, Fat Daddio's 14-Inch Cake Slicer / Bread Knife ($15.99 on Amazon) to use with it, which is important. Also great packing and fast shipping. Very pleased. Thank you!" —uptownvelvet

It's really easy to use, takes no effort — you don't have to hang onto the bottle so it doesn't spin, like my old one — and it looks attractive on the counter." —Mary

Get it from Amazon for $20.99.

Here's what BuzzFeed Food writer Hannah Loewentheil has to say about it: "I'd been contemplating buying an air fryer for quite some time, but it wasn't until I found myself cooking every night with my family due to COVID-19 that I finally decided it was the right time to get one. Friends of mine were raving about their new Instant Vortex Plus 6-in-1 Air Fryer, so after reading similar feedback on Amazon, I decided it looked like a winner. And it happens to be made by the same company that makes the crowd-favorite Instant Pot. I figured I would be using this appliance primarily as air air fryer, but as an added bonus, it can also roast, broil, bake, re-heat, and dehydrate food.

I've had this air fryer for about three weeks now, and I can honestly say it's become the hero of my kitchen. It preheats quickly, it's large enough to a good amount of food at once, it's easy to clean, and it makes food taste crispy on the outside and moist on the inside without any oil. I've been using my air fryer to make vegetables just about every night and it makes them taste so good. If you're cooking for kids, picky eaters, or you just don't get so excited about eating vegetables, the air fryer could be perfect for you. If you like chicken, the air fryer might change your life, and I don't mean that to be dramatic. The air fryer produces restaurant-quality chicken that tastes absurdly decadent, except there's no oil involved in the cooking — just air. We also tried making sesame chicken in the air fryer using boneless skinless chicken thighs. The sesame chicken tasted almost identical to my favorite Chinese takeout, and it had nothing to do with my cooking skills. Thanks to the air fryer, the chicken gets so crispy. I couldn't believe I made this at home!!"

Promising review: "LOVE these splash catchers! They save me from having to chase the puddles that form around the base of our faucet before they start creeping over the counter. So reasonably priced, made well with neatly finished edges, and packaged with gift-ready care." —Alina

Get it from Two Lilacs Studio on Etsy for $13.50+ (available in four sizes and six colors).

Add on that it cleans super easily and you have a great gift for anyone who is looking for an easy addition to their pantry!" —Angieleigh

Reviewers say it's perfectly leakproof, and great for non-kitchen uses too! BTW. it's made of BPA-free plastic and is dishwasher safe.

Promising review: "I’ve used this bottle daily for almost exactly a year now. I use it for dispensing oil during cooking. It is very easy and fast to use. I just flip the lid off with my thumb and squeeze, which makes me feel like a graceful, quick and efficient chef. Oil doesn’t drip down onto the bottle at all, so my hands never get oil on them and I have no problems with drips either. I simply store the bottle directly on my shelf for quick access, because I have not seen even the slightest hint of an oil ring on my shelf, even after a year of daily use. This bottle is easy to use, clean to use, and comes apart for easy cleaning. And it still looks and feels new, so it is definitely holding up very well with a lot of use. I definitely recommend this little squeeze bottle." —Jkats

Promising review: "We buy real maple syrup by the gallon & even when decanting into a smaller syrup container or jar, my kiddos always pour way more than they need, wasting $$$$. These squeeze bottles are perfect! I filled the big one with syrup: 5, 8 & 10 year olds can serve themselves without spills, leaks, or dribbles down the side. I filled the smaller one with vegetable oil for cooking - much better to coat the bottom of a skillet than pouring from the quart container the oil comes in. For the syrup, I wash the top every time I refill — the spout tends to get a little bit of crystallization on it, but it doesn't stop the top from closing. So glad I finally bit the bullet and bought these!" —KateW

Get the 16-ounce bottle from Amazon for $10.94 (also available in a 12-ounce size and as a set of two or a set of three with a 6-ounce size).

Promising review: "If you have one of those tiny zesters in your drawer, the ones that take off 1 cm of zest and then keep it embedded so none goes into the cooking? Retire it. This is a much better device and even fits across many pots for simpler use. Plus they give you tips on how to use and clean it easily." —CoffeeHound

Promising review: "Say goodbye to your old zester and your fingerprints! This thing is absolutely fantastic for zesting anything you have, mincing garlic, or whatever small thin slicing you need to do! Hands down, would purchase again in a heart beat!" —Bree

Get it from Amazon for $10.98.

Promising review: "I cannot say enough good about this strainer. It fits all my pots from small to huge, even frying pans! I have strainers, colanders, every kind of lid converter...this strainer is the best ever. When the pot is too heavy for me to hold to drain off the water, with this I can still hold on with both hands, and then when it is mostly drained, I set the pot in the sink to continue to drain (fidgety pastas) Washes up like a dream, or toss in the dishwasher. I do not know how I lived without this strainer. Now I can get rid of probably 20 items out of my kitchens!" —SGA

Get it from Amazon for $15.99 (available in four colors).

Promising review: "Don't know what the 'flavor' category means with respect to these wine bottle stoppers but the stoppers work as advertised. A local vineyard was using them in their sample room so I assumed that since a vineyard was using them, they would work as advertised and they do. You can lay a wine bottle flat and it won't leak. Nice that it filters out cork crumbs." —Lawrol

Get it from Amazon for $8.32 (also available in several multi-packs).

Promising review: "We have a small freezer and no icemaker, and have been using fiddly trays for years. Icebreaker Pop has changed everything! No more leaky ice trays spilling in the freezer, (or on the way to the freezer), and no ice picking up weird smells and tastes from the freezer. Icebreaker Pop is self-contained and easy to use. You fill it up with water –but be careful not to overfill, because it does expand as it freezes. (Physics!) Seal the top and put it in the freezer. Once it's frozen, you lay it on a flat surface, press down hard on it a couple of times on each side to crack the ice, and pull apart with both handles. You now have 18 cubes of clean ice that dispense from the opening, eliminating the need to touch the cubes as you add them to your glass. The cubes are a little smaller than from regular ice trays, but that's okay with us. Icebreaker Pop is also cool-looking and easy to clean; it's made up of three easy-to-separate pieces that are a snap to wash thoroughly. Very happy with this product!" —Leah Koepp

Promising review: "A useful and amusing stocking stuffer for my 79 year old dad. The Splatypus is gentle on his arthritic but still very busy digits. And as a Baby Boomer, he never wastes a smidgen of his beloved peanut butter or orange marmalade. Dad loves the Splatypus!" —dk72

One reviewer also had the genius idea of using the flat one under a cutting board to keep it from sliding away!

Promising review: "I bought a set of these years ago (about 10 years ago) for myself and my mother-in-law. Mine are still going strong, but she managed to wear hers out, so I ordered her another set. When my dad saw them, he wanted a pair. They both have arthritis in their hands and have tremendous difficulty opening jars and bottles. These grippers allow them to to get a strong enough grip to open all kinds of jars and bottles. The different shapes work great for different types of containers — the flats ones work well for just about anything with a lid; the cone shaped one is great for water bottles, salad dressing, etc. I would highly recommend for anyone with arthritis or a weak grip." —MGS

Get a set of three from Amazon for $7.49.

Here's how it works: Pour in the macaroni and add enough water to the fill line. Then microwave for 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Remove, stir, and microwave two more minutes, then add the other ingredients per the mac 'n' cheese instructions. Check out a TikTok of the rapid mac cooker in action. PS — people also use this to rapid cook their ramen!

Promising review: "There is nothing I dislike about this. I don't like milk so didn't add it but it's surprisingly as good or better than stove top. The texture and flavor is on point and it's not soggy like easymac. I laughed when I got this and was like wow it's no different than any container. It's harder material so idk what it's made of but the directions inside the container are on point for good mac and cheese except I drained the water. The days of scrubbing a big pot are over for me. I can't believe this actually worked. Especially bc the texture of the noodles and the taste is so on point. I got no discount and wasn't paid for this review. I just really am shocked it worked and worked so well. They got this down to a science with this container and directions. I am amazed." —me

This has the same type of jetted sprayer that you would use to jet out a drain line, so yeah it'll spray the stink off of a turd. It cleans baby bottles, Contigo, yeti, spaghetti sauce, baby food, mason jars with a couple of presses. Highly recommended over the messy soap dispenser!" —Chuq

Just spray on (don't add water until you rinse!) and wipe. I'm not joking when I say that the first time I used Dawn Powerwash on a lasagna pan, I almost cried. I will never be without it!

Promising review: "I bought this stuff because my sister swears by it. I've seen the commercials and thought, yeah sure... But first off, the fresh scent smells amazing without being overpowering. Secondly, it cleans oily, greasy stuff like a dream! My husband used my stockpot on his grill burner, resulting it in being COVERED in black sooty stuff. And everything it touched also received a healthy dose of soot. I initially tried the normal Dawn dish soap and while it did clean it up, it was smearing it and not easy to clean. I pulled out this stuff, sprayed a bit on the pot. BOOM, it was literally clean. Seriously, awesome stuff." —Laura Pirkle

Get the starter kit (with one reusable spray bottle and one refill) from Amazon for $8.44.

Promising review: "Was desperately seeking a garlic press after my previous one started chipping and eventually fell apart. This press is obviously more money than the replacement one I bought at the supermarket but it is worth it. When you press a clove of garlic, the garlic actually gets minced and comes out of the press. It is easy to clean, insuring that there is never any leftover garlic bits to find on the next use. And you don't have to look around for the other piece to push through the little holes, because it is securely attached. No chipping despite the bright red color. Also lightweight." —Susan E.

Promising review: "OMG! Why did I take so long to get one of these? I would typically spend two or three minutes slicing up a pineapple and I LOVE pineapple so its pretty common for me. Now, I can do it in 30 seconds, and that was the first time not knowing what I was doing or what to expect. I suspect I'll have this down to 10 seconds on the next go round. Love IT! Oh, BTW, it is sturdy and seems like it should last a while." —riverseine

Get it from Amazon for $9.99+ (available in five colors).

Promising review: "It really works! My least favorite part about cooking is peeling all the little garlic cloves. This thing peels them in a snap! Promising review: "These claws are just what you need for shredding pork, chicken, beef or any other items. The points are sharp, narrow, and long and work well as a pair. It's much more efficient and quicker than using two forks. I thought I might have been a little extravagant in ordering this but now I realize it is very useful beyond shredding — e. g., holding a watermelon with one hand/claw as you cut with the other hand." —J. Renfrow

The paper breathes just the right amount, maintaining the perfect humidity and mimicking the environment that cheese is aged in.

Promising review: "Before I bought this cheese paper I would do the cheese search in the refrigerator. After buying cheeses, opening them, and then rewrapping them in heaven knows what (namely plastic wrap, aluminum foil, and plastic containers), it was always the same result: moldy cheese. This box contains the paper in sheets plus some stickers that you can write on with the name of the cheese and the date it was wrapped or even sell by date. There are also pictures of a sheep, cow, and goat so the source can be identified by circling or checking one of them! What I also like is that the cheeses can be rewrapped after use and amazingly the stickers still stick! The paper can also be cut to size to wrap smaller cheeses. So far I have noted that the cheeses have stayed fresh with not a trace of mold. I highly recommend this product to all cheese lovers!" —Prairie Woman

Promising review: "My old wooden rolling pin had painted handles and the paint was flaking off so I needed a new pin. I really liked what I learned about these metal ones that you can control the height with the little sliding rings. The included silicone mat is great for rolling my gluten-free dough on and has the circles for pies too. Bonus that it has measurements for conversion on there as well so I don't have to think about ratios. The sliding rings are a variety of sizes and help keep the thickness of the dough consistent during the rolling process so I don't have to guess whether it's the same anymore." —Sunshiine Mel

Promising review: "OK, so these cleaner pods are awesome! I didn't know how gross our Keurig was until today. The big mason jar on the left is when I actually ran the cleaner through plus one rinse cycle. The middle one is another rinse cycle and the last one, on the right, is the last one I did. So yes, I would suggest running two or three rinse cycles instead of the recommended one. But it's still an awesome product for the price! I have a 2.0 and I had no issues." —Mads0421

Get a pack of six from Amazon for $9.95.

Promising review: "After hours of searching and comparing ice cream scoops I chose this one. I am VERY HAPPY with this purchase. It was delivered exactly on time and we immediately washed it so we could try it out. Wish we would've bought it sooner and saved the lives of our spoons. ; -) We tried it on four different ice creams and it was like scooping whipped cream! This scoop is awesome!! Very heavy duty but not too heavy. It has a nice covering that makes it easy to grip, especially since I have small hands. It's dishwasher safe and comes with a lifetime warranty!!! This is the only scoop you'll ever need to buy!" —Jackie R.

Although I do sometimes like to snack on that part. Just soak them in water while you're mixing up the batter, then wrap!

Promising review: "I first heard about these bake-even strips on a baking blog and just had to try them out. I am so glad I did! My cakes would usually come out looking like a dormant volcano and I'd have to spend quite some time trying to cut them down to be level, usually ending up trimming almost half the cake away! But with these bake-even strips, my cakes came out flat and pretty evenly baked without the darker, slightly overcooked edges. I even got compliments on how even my cake levels looked... A definite MUST-HAVE for those who do a lot of baking." —Shari Nakano

Promising review: "This is a great little invention. Easy to clean and store, and it pops the popcorn perfectly every single time. Save yourself a ton of money, and just buy this and pick up some unpopped kernels from the grocery store. I bought a small organic bag for $3 and got about 15-20 bowls out of it. Now I can finally have some decent microwave popcorn without having to deal with the trans fats or palm oil that all of the major brands seem to use in their products nowadays." —Amazon Customer

Promising review: "My husband loves popcorn. However, unlike me, he HATES any unpopped kernels. So after a lot of searching, we found this and ordered it. OMG......he loves this thing. And I love that I no longer have to hear him complain about how many kernels are in the bottom of his bowl! So if you want to eat popcorn without having a bunch of kernels in the bottom, DEFINITELY order this one........" —R. Harris

Check out a TikTok of the Buddeez sandwich bread dispenser in action.

Promising review: "The Buddeez Sandwich Bread Dispenser is great! It does exactly what it was intended for. I live alone and I don't quite go through bread often enough before the last quarter section of the loaf starts to go stale. I was originally looking for something to put a loaf of bread in as a shell for my vacuum sealer, that would keep the bread from getting crushed from the pressure. This dispenser solved all of my problems. Thank you!" —DRMcQuaig

Promising review: "This product keeps your red wine good for about a week and is also nice to use on white wine to ensure freshness. I'm so happy I bought it! I like to have a glass of wine or two in the evenings, but I rarely finish a bottle of red within the time it takes the wine to go bad (which I find is 3-4 days). I bought this for my white porcelain kitchen sink and I've since texted five people about it, which is really a lot for such a boring grown-up product. It cleans beautifully, but the *best* is its ability to repel stains after cleaning. You know that thing when you rinse out your coffee cup and the coffee water just lingers in your sink and you have to purposefully rinse it out for two minutes? You don't have to do that — the coffee can't stick to the sink and just goes RIGHT down the drain. Time saved, sink clean — this is really a Virgo dream product right here.

Promising review: "I read all the reviews and was intrigued by the photos so I purchased the product. WOW! Could not believe how fast it worked. We have an old fashioned ceramic deep sink which I do not want to replace because of the depth. It was scratched and discolored with rust in places. I used a sponge to apply and with a little elbow grease, the sink looks brand new!! A vintage sink that looks just like it was installed. Love the product and highly recommend! Low odor, fresh scent, not offensive." —SK

This spinner really dries the vegetables and then you don't get those nasty wilting bits in the containers of baby greens from the market after a day or two. Well worth the money and looks like it will last a very long time." —JPC10

These are way easier to keep track of (and seal WAY better) than those silly plastic dongles that come on bread and English muffins.

Promising review: "I hate bread ties. Normally, I would just twist the end of the bag and tuck the loose part under it in the cabinet. My wife doesn't though. She twists the tie back on the bag. This wastes so much time, and is annoying. I decided to find a solution: this. It's great. It's fast, effective and reusable... Kind of pricey, but over time I'm sure it will be worth it. For the last few months it's definitely been worth it." —Ray Believeau

One roll of these will tackle a number of messes equivalent to 60 ROLLS of conventional paper towels.

Promising review: "I've had these bamboo towels for a month now and am incredibly impressed with their performance! They're much larger than a regular paper towel, thicker, softer and more absorbent. I've washed the first ones I've torn off the roll several times now and they DO survive the laundry and perform just as well afterward. I've only used five bamboo towels this month, washed them and re-used. Several times. I would have been through a whole roll of Brawny by now. One caveat...when you wash them, you're supposed to air dry them, so I haven't sent any through the dryer. And I haven't needed to, because allowing them to air dry has not affected the quality of the towels when I 're-roll' them!" —A. Clark

Promising review: "The best small appliance I have ever bought! My husband buys the microwaveable egg sandwiches that are frozen and they are pretty expensive, especially when you buy enough for the month. He just grabs one and goes to work. So not only did this little gadget work as well as it said, it will save us money in the long run. The food is better since it's fresher, and I just couldn't believe it took five minutes. The sandwich was done and without all that messy frying and smelling up the house. Now, this is so easy, even my husband can do it without me if he had to. I want to buy one for my kids, the one at college and the newly wed. Also, the one here on Amazon was cheaper than the one I saw at the store and I had it in two days." —Mistie Morgan

Promising review: "After using this product, I am happy to report that my $5 investment saved me over $500. I was ready to replace my dishwasher, due to super cloudy glasses, residue, and just not getting clean. Then, I became aware that the water softener no longer was doing it's job, so I had the rental company replace it. Dishwasher performance improved somewhat. I decided to do two more loads before deciding to purchase a new one. Then I saw a product test review for Affresh in good housekeeping magazine. I was ordering some stuff from Amazon anyway, so I added that to my order. When it came, I tossed one of the tablets into the bottom of the full machine, per instructions, and ran the regular cycle. I did not expect the results I got! My glassware that I thought was permanently etched and ruined came out like new. Same with cutlery. The difference is unbelievable. I will use this faithfully on a monthly basis, as recommended. I can even put it on my subscribe and save order, so I will get a new pack every 6 months. I am amazed!" —Sheila
